Jock has been invited to speak as part of a panel exploring sustainability in food production for the SBI (Sustainable Business Initiative) as part of the Chamber Lunch Series on 20 June 2022. We are working hard to go deep on exactly what sustainability means in our food systems.

We were delighted to attend the annual Guernsey Biological Records Centre Bioblitz again, albeit on a very wet and windy day at Fort Houmet. We had the microscope set up and demonstrated how we take and observe soil samples for the brave and hardy souls that managed to join us. We are looking forward to the next one.

Continuing our screenings to raise awareness, we showed Kiss the Ground to a packed local audience. The screening was followed with another very lively Q&A session, showing the depth of interest in the community. With Sasha, Jock, Julia Henney (GuernseyBiodiversity Officer), Lindsey De Saumarez (Elected deputy, States of Guernsey) and Sheila Cook joining us via video link (3LM Savoury Hub).

We hosted a second public screening of The Biggest Little Farm to a packed public audience at The Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts with a very lively and productive Q&A session with Sasha, Jock and Julia Henney (Guernsey Biodiversity Officer)

We hosted an outdoor screening of The Biggest Little Farm to a private audience of about 80 people in the beautiful setting of The Rocquette Cider Farm. This screening was designed to promote questions amongst our landowners and deputies asking how we can manage our islands landscapes better.

Our first outing at Guernsey Biological Records Centre Bioblitz was a great one. We demonstrated how we use the microscope to look at soil samples and showed visitors the findings on the big screen
