Waste Streams

We love it when a phonecall goes like this…

‘Hi, I have a load of [insert obscure ingredient here] that I think can be composted, do you want it?’

The answer is always yes. If it’s organic matter and chemical free we can likely compost it, or utilise it in some way. Some of our regular ingredients are pre-plate food waste, cardboard, shredded paper, green waste, brewers mash, coffee grounds, tea leaves, wool packaging and woodchip. Some of the more obscure include SCOBYS, hair and boiled seaweed.

By processing these waste streams into Compost, we are keeping a valuable resource on island and unlocking its potential to benefit our landscapes.
