Pork

As you will expect, we have reared the pigs to the highest welfare standards. They have had space to play, to explore, to wallow and relax and to generally live the best pig life, including regular company and massage, before their ‘one bad day’. They have been fed a diverse diet, working their way through last years crop and root residues, with plenty of extra fresh fruit and vegetables, topped up with their favourite pig nuts.

We firmly believe that if you are going to eat meat, you should eat in moderation and source the best possible, taking an active interest in how it was reared. The systems we run are about balance and regeneration, with the waste from one enterprise becoming the input and resource of another. The pigs play a valuable role in our multi enterprise farm model and we love having them around, so whilst it’s never easy, we are confident that we are offering the best local product we can bring to market. The expressions of interest already suggest you are keen to observe the same values.
